Template | Header and Template

Only one template is available for both the header and footer. These two templates are consistently applied to the header and footer of all other templates, making them ideal for static information that needs to be present throughout the entire booking process.

In both templates—both in the header and in the footer—you also have the option to insert the Text Block widget ( b ) and the Gift Certificate Sales button ( C). The advantage of placing the Voucher Sales button in the header or footer is that customers are offered the voucher sales option on every page of the booking process, which increases the visibility and accessibility of this offer.

Available Widgets in the Page Header Template

Within the Navigation Menu widget, you can configure the following settings:

  • Position Menu: Define where your navigation should be displayed (Default: Pinned to Top).

  • Show All Offers Button: Display or hide this button. This button directs the booking individual from the Offer Details back to the Offer Overview. If you have integrated your categories or offers individually and do not want participants to access the overview of all offers, deselect the Show All Offers Button option.

  • Show Home Button: Display or hide this button. This button is shown during the booking process (registration/booking steps 1 - 7) and allows the booking individual to return to the Offer Detail page at any step.

  • Show Search Field: Display or hide this field. The search field is exclusively displayed in the Offer Overview and Offer Details templates.

  • Login Button whether to display it or not. If you have enabled the participant account in edoobox, your participants can log in using the login button.

  • Show Language Selection: Display or hide this option. The booking individual can select one of your activated languages for the booking process.

Text Block B

Use the Text Block to insert text and images at any desired location in all active system languages. Select whether the Text Block should always be displayed, or only when the offer overview is opened within the iFrame itself.

Tip: Text Block

Use the Text Block to create a page header with images, company logo, and company address. The general widget setting «Visibility for Participants» allows you to display this text block only when offers are shown outside your website. (Display directly in edoobox, not on your website.)

"Buy Gift Cards" button C

Upon clicking the Voucher Sales Button, the visitor is redirected to the voucher sales page, where they can purchase any voucher from you via edoobox. This page can be found and edited in the Design Manager under Template | Body within additional pages. The following settings are available in the widget settings for the Voucher Sales Button:

  • The button text "Buy Voucher Now" can be customized independently by you.

  • The button color can also be selected from a predefined list of colors.

  • You define the value of the vouchers available for purchase. The option for the booking person to define a custom value is not available.

  • You select which price is pre-selected when the booking person clicks the button.

  • The currency is set by default to the currency stored in your account but can also be individually adjusted.

  • For the "Type of Settlement" setting, you have two options. Choose "Reduction of Offer Price" if you do not want the voucher to be redeemable for additional services, for example. If this is not a concern for you, select the "Settlement with Booking Total" option.

  • In addition to the already available voucher values, the price categories of an offer can be made available for selection if the booking person clicks the Voucher Sales Button on the Offer Detail page.

Code Widget d

If you possess knowledge of CSS or JavaScript and wish to further customize the booking process, the Code Widget is suitable. Within this widget, you can insert custom code to further adapt the design and behavior of the booking flow.

jQuery in the Code Widget: To utilize jQuery within the Code Widget, we recommend the following code:

document.addEventListener('DOMContentLoaded', function() {
$( "#wdg_ABC1234567" ).hide();
});

Please note: Limited Support

We generally recommend the use of the Code Widget only to individuals with comprehensive knowledge of CSS and JavaScript. Should issues arise in the booking process due to custom code added within the Code Widget, we can unfortunately only offer limited support.

With the Cookie Banner widget, you inform users about the use of cookies upon their first page visit. This has been mandatory since October 1, 2019, according to the ECJ ruling. You can define the text to be displayed in the Cookie Banner yourself. Additionally, you can specify whether the Cookie Banner is shown until the visitor accepts cookie storage, or if, upon rejection, no tracking cookies are stored and the banner is not displayed for 24 hours.
