PayPal Legacy

You can easily activate PayPal as a payment system in edoobox. Payments with credit cards and direct debit are possible via PayPal. If you would like to do this and have not yet created a PayPal account, you can do so at Paypal.com. You then only need to enter the e-mail address used for this in edoobox.

Paypal conditions

The conditions vary based on the country, the number and type of transactions and the turnover generated, and range between 1.5 % + € 0.35 and 3.4 % + €/CHF 0.55.

Peculiarities and specific information

PayPal is very easy to implement in edoobox by storing the e-mail address used for the PayPal account in edoobox.

PayPal is very large, known worldwide and offers support and written information also in German.

The General Terms and Conditions depend on the country in which your organization is based.

Possible problems in combination with the countdown setting in edoobox

Deactivate all options in your PayPal account that favor a delayed transfer. (possibly only allow credit card payments).

  • If PayPal sends the payment confirmation with a delay (more than 10 minutes), edoobox has already sent a payment link to the person making the booking, even though the payment has been initiated in PayPal.

  • If a countdown is active in this offer and Paypal does not send the payment confirmation until the countdown has expired, the booking has already expired.

  • The PayPal account must be confirmed. (You will receive a confirmation e-mail from PayPal when you open your account

  • The currency in edoobox must also be added as a currency in the PayPal account(payment does not work)

Problem with individual PayPal payments:

If a customer reports that the payment with PayPal is not executed, the transaction number A can be used to contact PayPal customer service(https://www.paypal.com/de/smarthelp/contact-us ) to find out the reason for the cancellation/rejection.

How do I make a full or partial repayment?

You can repay any payment you have received within 180 days.

  1. First edit or cancel the booking in the edoobox booking system.

  2. Then select the transaction you wish to refund from the participant account. If you are not logged into Paypal, you must log in with your Paypal account.

  3. If you are not forwarded directly to the transaction, call up the Activities A page.

  4. Select the transaction for which you want to send a refund and then click on Send refundB .

  5. Enter the desired amount (chargeback) and click on "Continue".

  6. Check your details and then click on "Send refund".

  7. The repayment has been completed and the recipient receives an e-mail.
