Barcode: Ticket and barcode settings

The ticket is designed for admission and exit control. It can also be used for attendance monitoring in the case of ongoing offers. Standard scanners, a webcam, or a smartphone can be used to scan the ticket barcodes.

For your ticketing, various options for barcodes are available in the main navigation under the menu item "Settings" under "Barcode."

Global settings: Barcode

Barcode type

This setting allows you to specify which code type should be used for your tickets. We recommend that you check which codes your code reader can read and choose a code accordingly. The following are available:

  • PDF417

  • QR code

  • data matrix

Tip: Which scanner?

For example, we can recommend using the QuickScan QBT2400. This model is available from Amazon, among other retailers. You are free to choose any brand and scanner type. The important thing is that the scanner supports the barcode types you use.

Barcode creation

Here you can specify whether a barcode should be created for each participant and sent via Ticket.pdf. The email template "Attachment: Ticket.pdf" is used.

Barcode disabled

  • If you do not want to send tickets with the booking confirmation email, select the setting: "Do not create barcodes, do not send ticket PDF."

Create barcode

  • If you would like to send the ticket along with the booking confirmation email, select the setting: "Create barcodes, send ticket PDF with each registration."

  • If you would like to decide individually for each quote whether the ticket.pdf should be sent, then select the setting: "Activate ticket PDF for each quote."

Create barcodes now

If you activate barcode creation at a later date and would like to create a barcode for existing participants as well, you can do so quickly by clicking on "Create now."

Replace individual barcodes

Would you like to create a new barcode for a participant, for example because their ticket has been stolen or you suspect misuse? If so, you can generate a new barcode for the participant in question with just a few clicks. You can then send the new ticket to the participant by resending the booking confirmation.
