Price categories
If you advertise offers in edoobox that are subject to a charge, you have the option of entering the desired prices for each offer. Depending on your edoobox subscription, you can define up to 10 different price categories. In addition to the standard price that is always available, you can also set additional price categories that are limited in terms of time or quantity.

In the "Prices" section of the offer dashboard, you will find a list of all price categories created. Here you can see both active and inactive price categories and can determine the display order in the frontend using drag-and-drop.

The standard price
The standard price of an offer is always available and is always displayed. It cannot be hidden. To edit it, click on the standard price in the offer dashboard to open the editing window and adjust the description, price and (if other system languages are active) the translations of the description. The number of bookable places at the standard price is limited by the maximum number of participants.
Adding new price categories
If you would like to offer additional price categories in addition to the standard price, this is possible with just a few clicks. The number and period of additional price categories can be limited. To do this, click on "Add price" to define a new price category with name, price, availability and validity period. As an admin, you can choose at any time whether an additional price category should be shown or hidden in the booking process. Deactivated price categories can still be used by admins, e.g. to adjust the price of a booking at a later date.
Please note that price categories cannot be deleted. However, they can be edited, overwritten or hidden at any time.
Tip: Early bird price
Use this option, for example, to create an early bird price with limited availability and a fixed expiration date. This price category is shown as "fully booked" once the date or availability has been reached.
Editing existing price categories
In the offer dashboard, you have a list of all existing price categories in this offer. You receive an overview with information on the individual price categories, e.g. on the price and the number of sold, reserved and available "tickets". To change the settings of a price category, simply click on a price category and the editing window will open. All available settings can also be changed here at a later date.

Please note: Change booked price categories
We generally recommend that you do not change price categories that have already been booked, but instead create new price categories and assign existing bookings to them or work with promotional campaigns if necessary.
Currency and value added tax/sales tax
Select the currency and VAT rate for each offer in the offer settings.
Info: Standard VAT rate
When a new quote is created, edoobox checks whether the country of the tax rate defined as the default matches the country of the organization (configured under "Settings → Organization"). If this is the case, the default VAT rate is automatically adopted as the tax rate of the offer. Otherwise, no VAT rate is assigned to the offer.
The GeoDynamic VAT function is particularly suitable if you expect international bookings for which different VAT rates must be used.

If no VAT rates are available at this point in the offer, you can add them in the global account settings. How to do this is explained in this documentation: Storing VAT rates globally.
Tip: Show prices in the offer details
In the Design Manager, you can integrate additional widgets on the detail page of your offer to display prices including VAT.
