Stripe - 3D Secure: Card authentication
3D Secure (3DS) is a process that is used to combat fraud by increasing the security of online credit card payments. The Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) regulation in Europe requires the use of 3DS for card payments.
Stripe offers three default rules to request 3DS dynamically. You can set up these 3DS radar rules in your Stripe dashboard. The screenshot below shows the radar rules used to request additional authentication from your customers when the card issuer requests 3DS:

Stripe: Standard rules for dynamic 3DS requests
The first rule is activated by default. You can activate and deactivate all Radar rules. If you have Radar for Fraud Teams, you can add individual 3DS rules using the Stripe rules. This will cause Radar to require 3DS authentication for payments that match these additional rules.
Example: individual radar rule
An individual radar rule has been activated here in which 3DS authentication is required for payment attempts where the amount exceeds 500$ (USD) and the risk level is not classified as normal.
