Stripe - SEPA Direct Debit integration

edoobox is an official Stripe SCA-Ready Partner

Stripe users in Europe and the USA can use Debit Direct to accept direct debit payments within the Single Euro Payments Area. Payment via SEPA Direct Debit is only activated for the EUR currency.

Please note: Activation of SEPA direct debit payments

Before you can accept SEPA Direct Debit payments, your Stripe account must have regularly processed card payments for 30 days. SEPA Direct Debit payments are also subject to processing volume limits, and payments may fail if you exceed your limits. If you are a new customer or plan to process a high volume of transactions, please contact Stripe to request verification. This can also be expedited with proof of past payments directly to Stripe.

Connect Stripe account with edoobox

  1. Go to "Settings" and select "Payment systems" A and click on "Connect" B for Stripe.

  2. If you already have an account with Stripe, you can log in with your e-mail address. If this is not the case, enter your e-mail address and click on "Continue".

  3. Now you can connect edoobox to your Stripe account or cancel and go back.

  4. You will then receive confirmation that your account has been successfully connected.

 

 To activate SEPA Direct Debit on Stripe, proceed as follows.

  1. The prerequisite is that you already have an active Stripe account linked to edoobox. Instructions on how to integrate Stripe into edoobox.

  2. Go to "Settings" in your Stripe account and select the "Payment methods".

  3. Next, you must have SEPA Direct Debit activated. Once you have submitted the request, you will receive an email that your request has been received and the status will change to Invite requested.

  4. Stripe will review your application, subject to the following requirements:
    Your Stripe account must have processed card payments regularly for 30 days.
    If you have already accepted SEPA Direct Debit payments via another provider, the process can be accelerated by providing proof of past payments directly to Stripe. In this case, please contact Stripe.

  5. If SEPA Direct Debit has been accepted by Stripe, the SEPA Direct Debit must still be activated in edoobox under the payment systems.
