Connect Microsoft account for sending e-mails

As edoobox is an official Microsoft partner, you have the option of connecting your Microsoft 365 Work or School account to your edoobox account. Automatic emails are therefore not sent from edoobox via noreply@edoobox.email, but directly on your behalf via the latest Microsoft API.

Info: Version 2 must be active

The connection with your Microsoft account can only be activated via version 2 (V2) of the edoobox. The connection is visible in V1 as soon as it has been activated, but cannot be edited. If you still need to activate V2, please send us an e-mail to support@edoobox.com

Link the Microsoft account with edoobox

  1. Navigate to the global settings A in your edoobox account via the app menu.

App menu V2: The global settings

  2. Under "Email" B in the "Server" tab C you will find the section on Microsoft 365, to the right of which is the "Connect" button D. Click on "Connect" to start the process.

  3. Before your accounts can be linked, you must authenticate yourself with Microsoft. You will be redirected to Microsoft and asked to sign in to the Microsoft account to be linked. If you are already logged in to Microsoft on your end device, you will be registered as logged in immediately after clicking on "Authenticate" E and automatically redirected back to edoobox.

Tip: Logged in with the wrong Microsoft account

If you are logged into a Microsoft account on your end device that you do not want to link to edoobox and have already clicked on "Authenticate", the authentication cannot be renewed in the current session. The easiest way to renew the authentication is to open edoobox V2 in an incognito window of your browser and click on "Authenticate". You can then log into the desired Microsoft account manually.

  1. As soon as the authentication was successful, the desired sender e-mail address can be entered in the empty field F and click on "Connect". You can either enter the main email address of the Microsoft account that has just been authenticated or the email address of a delegated mailbox.

  2. Congratulations, the activation of the connection was successful G and your participants will now receive all e-mails from edoobox from your (specified) Microsoft e-mail address.

Send emails via delegated/shared mailbox

If you want to use a delegated mailbox to send your edoobox emails, you can create this in your Microsoft account (e.g. booking@domain.com).

The Microsoft account authenticated with edoobox requires "Send as" authorization for this mailbox. This "delegation" must be carried out by the Microsoft admin (see screenshot).

Your Microsoft mailboxes can be managed via the link https://admin.cloud.microsoft/exchange#/mailboxes. If you do not have admin rights in Microsoft, please forward this documentation to the person responsible for setting it up.
