This documentation explains the configuration options for attendance and the calculation of presence. Information on recording attendance and sending the attendance confirmation email and the certificate.pdf can be found in the documentation: Recording Attendance, Sending Attendance Confirmation Email and Certificate.
Basic Settings for the Attendance List
In the main navigation, under the "Settings" menu item, you can adjust all statuses for attendance tracking by clicking on "Attendance" A. The icon can be replaced with a different one for all statuses. Starting with"Excused," you can also customize the name with your own text, change the attendance percentage, and select a different color.
For accurate attendance calculation, it is essential to maintain the attendance list. Attendance can be indicated on the certificate and in the attendance confirmation email. The required placeholders are detailed in the documentation Email System Templates and Placeholders in edoobox, specifically in the section Attendance Confirmation Email.
Attendance Calculation
For each attendance status, attendance is calculated in hours. If the recorded percentage for a status is not 100%, the duration of the session is multiplied by that percentage.
For example, the status “Left early” can be assigned a rating of 90%, meaning that only 90% of the time spent in attendance is counted.
Example: Percentage-Based Attendance Calculation
Consider a course comprising four 1-hour lessons. Person A attends all four lessons in full, while Person B also attends all four lessons but had to leave early for two of them. The «Left early» status is assigned a 90% attendance value.
Person A, with full attendance, accumulates a total of 400%. Dividing this by the 4 lessons results in 100% attendance.
Person B, due to leaving early, accumulates a total of 380%, calculated as 100% + 100% + 90% + 90% for the two lessons where only 90% was counted. Dividing this 380% by the 4 lessons yields 95% attendance.
Person A receives a certificate indicating 100% attendance, while Person B receives a certificate indicating 95% attendance.
Attendance data can be incorporated into both the attendance confirmation email and the certificate.pdf using the appropriate placeholders.

Important: Update Attendance List!
Accurate attendance calculation requires that an attendance list status has been selected for all appointments. Attendance records must be entered individually for each appointment.
