Integrate videos into description texts

In edoobox, you can insert videos in offer or category descriptions as well as in text blocks in the Design Manager. These are particularly suitable for visually supplementing your offer, e.g. with explanatory videos, course previews or testimonials.

Insert videos in offer or category descriptions

You can either upload videos in the description editor directly via the file manager or embed them as embed code (e.g. from YouTube or Vimeo).

Procedure:

1. Open the editing of the description (offer or category).

2. Click on Insert in the editor and then on Media or directly on the mediasymbol.

3. Select:

   • Select file to upload a video from the file manager.

   • Embed to insert an iFrame code (e.g. from YouTube).

Insert videos into the design

Videos can also be embedded in text block widgets in the Design Manager - e.g. on overview pages, landing pages or detailed views.

Procedure:

1. Open the desired template in the Design Manager.

2. Insert a text block widget using drag-and-drop.

3. Click on the video icon and select Embed.

4. Paste the copied iFrame code (e.g. from YouTube under "Share > Embed").

Tip: Integrate larger videos efficiently

If possible, use platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo for your videos. The edoobox file manager only allows files up to a maximum of 10 MB and is not optimized for video streaming.
